Purpose of the Role

Our client's Group Finance team is preparing for a transformative year in 2025, with key initiatives focused on enhancing internal management information, refining data usage, improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and streamlining Board reporting. The Finance Projects Manager will play a central role in driving these critical projects forward, working in close collaboration with senior leadership and project sponsors to ensure successful execution.

Key Projects for 2025:

  1. Business Performance Management (KPI Reporting, Management Information, and Dashboards):

    • Transform Board reporting by transitioning from detailed quarterly reports to more streamlined monthly reports, incorporating new and relevant metrics.
    • Develop KPIs and dynamic dashboards for the Senior Leadership Team to enable real-time tracking of business performance and areas requiring improvement.
    • Create a centralized "CEO Dashboard" to provide quick access to vital performance data and insights.
    • Promote the use of KPIs across the organisation, ensuring alignment from senior leadership down to operational teams.
  2. End-to-End Project Pricing and Costing:

    • Improve understanding of the complete cost structure for project delivery, factoring in cross-functional efforts beyond direct manufacturing costs.
    • Drive improvements in manufacturing performance through business partnering, in-depth analysis, and resolution of cost-related challenges.
    • Implement real-time tracking of actual vs. projected costs to promote accountability and financial discipline.
  3. Efficiency in Financial Reporting:

    • Streamline the month-end close and reporting processes, reducing the time required while enhancing accuracy in financial reporting.
  4. AI Automation in Accounts Payable:

    • Introduce AI-driven automation to the Purchase Ledger and Purchase Order systems, improving the efficiency of accounts payable processes.
  5. Data Governance:

    • Establish and maintain comprehensive controls over the use of business data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across the organisation.
