Are you looking to make a difference as a Supply Teaching Assistant in Schools in Aberdare?
I have a fantastic opportunity to work within a few schools that are focused on growing their team. The schools are located in the Aberdare area and are looking for teaching assistants to work with ALN children across the school. Due to the needs of these pupils, previous experience working with Autism or additional learning needs is preferred but not essential. This is for full-time and Part-time roles, working between Monday to Friday and possibly on a long-term basis for the right candidate.

Overview:


  • Title: Teaching Assistant

  • Minimum Pay: 83.50 with no payroll charges

  • Location: Aberdare

  • Hours: Between Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm


The role: What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting and supervising activities within the classroom
  • Helping learners stay on task and understand lessons
  • Work in partnership with other members of staff
  • Working with learners in small groups/ and or working 1:1 with learners with additional needs
  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch where needed
  • Engage learners in the classroom and out of classroom activities
  • Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience working or volunteering with children with SEN
  • Proactive work ethic
  • A good understanding of special educational needs
  • The ability to provide a range of support to pupils
  • A patient and understanding attitude
  • The ability to work as part of a team


The start time is 8.30 am and you will finish at 3.30 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.
