Your new companyYou will be working for a well established and growing manufacturing business in the Aberdare area. They are now looking for a new Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter to join their great team.Your new roleIn your new role you will perform maintenance, repair, set-up and continual development of all machinery, equipment and plant services within the mechanical scope of the Engineering Department with due regard to all relevant guidelines and practices. This role operates on a 6am-2pm shift - Monday to Friday.Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Mechanical Maintenance of all Press Machines, Roll Forming Lines, CNC Machines, and Services equipment
  • Develop Planned Maintenance Schedules
  • Being involved in the installation, commissioning and training of new equipment
  • Provide on the line fault-finding and repairs to equipment
  • Adhere to health and safety, ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner
  • Changing tooling size
  • Continually develop and improve process machinery performance and working practices.
  • Maintain documentary records of all relevant areas.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Prior experience in a mechanical maintenance/ fitting role
  • Relevant training/apprenticeship
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
