A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Pontypridd, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Alternative Provision Tutors to join our team. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where young people can learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEMH needs, as well as those with MLD and SLD. We believe in creating a positive and engaging learning environment that addresses the unique needs of each student.
About the Role:
As an Alternative Provision Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional support due to SEMH and SEND needs. You will:
- Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in core subjects (ideally Maths, English, or Science).
- Provide individual and small group support to help students overcome learning challenges.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans to maximize each student's potential.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel valued and respected.
Who We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with students with SEMH and/or SEND is crucial.
- Proven ability to mentor and support challenging students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
- Experience in core subjects (Maths, English, or Science) is highly desirable.
