A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Pontypridd, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Alternative Provision Tutors to join our team. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where young people can learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As an Alternative Provision Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional support due to SEMH and SEND needs. You will:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in core subjects (ideally Maths, English, or Science).
  • Provide individual and small group support to help students overcome learning challenges.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to maximize each student's potential.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel valued and respected.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and/or SEND is crucial.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support challenging students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Experience in core subjects (Maths, English, or Science) is highly desirable.
