Description
- Responsible for accurate cost reporting, including Forecast, Value of Work Done and Commitments against approved Budget.
- Responsible for set up, control, reporting
- Ensure accurate monthly accruals submitted to Finance.
- Ensure shared costs are re-allocated as appropriate, for recharge to partners.
- Provide robust variance analysis.
- Identify and support opportunities for cost efficiencies whilst maintaining safety and integrity.
- Support annual budget build for relevant Budget area.
- Monitor, review and advise on key vendor cost performance.
- Lead and drive budget meetings with budget holders.
- Champion compliance with supply chain and R2P processes
- Participate in all appropriate internal and supplier meetings
- Deputise for Cost Engineering Lead as required.
Profile
A successful Cost Controller should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a cost control role within the energy and natural resources industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software.
- A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- An detail-oriented approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ambition and a strong desire to learn.
