Accounts Assistant

Reed Accountancy are working with an established organisation located in Portlethen, Aberdeen, seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month fixed term basis. This office-based role will allow the successful candidate to leverage their skills through performing daily transactional finance duties across both purchase and sales ledger.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintaining the sales ledger accounts to ensure all data is accurate
- Posting cash to the sales ledger
- Chasing invoices and answering customer queries
- Processing of purchase ledger including the checking, coding, and posting of invoices
- Dealing with purchase ledger queries and liaising with other departments to ensure they are resolved
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparing payment runs for approval
- Performing additional departmental duties as and when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task workloads
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience of credit control and working in a finance function
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Dynamics
