About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Lead to join our team for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will work closely with the project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to ensure the successful planning, development, and execution of various transformational projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in manufacturing and a deep understanding of machine purchases and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project sponsor and project teams to define scope, deliverables, required resources, work plans, budgets, and timelines for new initiatives.
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of machine specifications for transformational projects.
- Manage project and program teams to optimize return on investment, delegating tasks and ensuring cross-project initiatives are coordinated effectively.
- Identify key resource requirements from internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and manage project budgets, taking full accountability for delivering against established business goals and objectives.
- Work alongside other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate program risks, producing regular program reports for management and stakeholders.
- Manage the program budget, risks, and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate interdependencies between various projects and manage resources across them.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment of deliverables with overall program objectives.
- Ensure proper documentation management, including the creation and maintenance of program initiation documents.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a management role, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to manage complex programs and projects with a focus on successful outcomes.
