This role involves working in a multi discipline team with a number of our clients engineers. All our engineers are supportive, team players and create a great working environment. The role will support a number of projects in Oil and Gas. Projects range from concept studies to FEED
As a client facing Principal Engineer, you will work collaboratively with the client and your responsibilities will include some or all of the following
- Responsibility for instrument discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals including preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation
- Allocating work and ensuring delivery against plan
- Deliver high-quality C&I engineering tasks to schedule, budget and client satisfaction
- Ensuring all applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures are complied with
- Preparing equipment and materials requisitions for control systems, safety systems, analyser houses, field instrumentation and other instrument equipment
- Preparing installation scopes of work
- Reviewing supplier's quotations and preparing technical bid assessments
More specific tasks could include:
- Full life-cycle development (hardware and software) of either control or protection systems
- Software qualification of SMART devices and PLCs
- Functional Safety determination (both probabilistic and deterministic)
- C&I Ageing and Obsolescence Management
- Production and modification of C&I safety cases and / or cyber security cases
- Provide oversight of veri?cation and validation activities
