The Role?
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team on a full time, permanent basis in Aberdeen.

?
The successful candidate will hold a full Class 2 License or above, have an understanding of the local Aberdeen area and hold strong communication skills with the ability to interact well with customers.

?
The role offers standard 8am 4:30pm, Monday to Friday working hours with some overtime available as required.

  • Responsible for efficient delivery a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
  • Responsible for preparation, inspection, security, and safe operation of the assigned delivery vehicle.
  • ?Responsible for the securing of cargo.
  • ?Responsible for reviewing orders before & after delivery/ collection to ensure that all orders are complete & that the client is satisfied.
  • ?Responsible for ensuring delivery tickets are signed by customer on delivery of goods and returned of office for processing.
  • ?Responsible for the maintenance of assigned vehicle in accordance with company procedures.
  • ?Responsible for abiding by all transport laws & maintaining a safe driving record.
  • ?Assist with loading & unloading of vehicles as required.
  • ?Ensure that work area is safe to carry out activities and carry out risk assessments as required.
  • ?Assist with any other duties as and when required.

Your Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Class 2 UK Driving License
  • ?Previous experience within a similar role.
  • ?Understanding of the local Aberdeen area.
  • ?Awareness of requirements for transportation of hazardous good (preferred)
  • ?Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers.
  • ?Good time management skills.
  • ?Manual Handling Awareness.
  • ?Ability to follow and demonstrate safe loading.
