Key Account Manager 

Purpose: The Key Account Manager role is to maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met while maximizing sales growth and profitability. This role involves managing the sales cycle, providing technical support, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and account success.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the oil and gas sector.

• Assist in the preparation and management of quotations, proposals, and tenders for UK and international clients.

• Collaborate with the global sales team to tailor quotations and proposals in line with customer requirements.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet client specifications.

• Support the Leadership Team with information to negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Provide technical support and product information to clients as required.

• Monitor and report on sales performance and client feedback.

• Coordinate with internal teams (production and dispatch) to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.

• Develop and implement account management strategies to achieve sales and delivery targets.

• Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly.

• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and transactions in CRM software.

• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to build relationships, as required.

• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products to existing clients.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

• Manage the sales cycle from RFQ/ITB through to sales delivery.

• Work closely with the technical and production teams to meet client requirements.

• Continuously seek ways to improve customer satisfaction and account profitability.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

Skills Requirements:

1. Relationship Management:

• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships, especially with key accounts in the oil and gas sector.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interaction.

2. Sales and Account Management:

• Demonstrated expertise in managing the complete sales cycle from RFQ/ITB to delivery.

• Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

• Experience in developing and implementing account management strategies.

3. Proposal and Tender Management:

• Experience in supporting and preparing quotations, proposals, and tenders for UK and international clients.

• Strong attention to detail for ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.

4. Technical and Product Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of technical concepts related to the oil and gas industry.

• Ability to provide technical support and product information to clients.
