Civil/Structural Inspector - Based in Aberdeen, St Fergus, or Mossmorran

Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Professionals in Civil/Structural Inspection

Are you an experienced Civil/Structural Inspector with a background in oil and gas facilities? This is your chance to join a dynamic team, working across two onshore gas processing facilities and one marine jetty. With the flexibility to choose your base location in Aberdeen, St Fergus, or Mossmorran, this role offers variety, professional growth, and a chance to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and Compliance: Perform visual inspections of civil and structural elements, ensuring alignment with performance standards and anomaly criteria. Areas of focus include:
  • Surface and topside structures
  • Foundations and mooring systems
  • Structural elements providing fire and explosion protection
  • Passive fire protection and drainage systems
  • Maintenance and integrity of structural elements
  • Reporting: Document inspection findings, record defects, and upload reports to the Integrity Management System (IMS). Generate CAIRs/notifications for identified issues and respond to ad hoc inspection requests.
  • System Management: Oversee the IMS platform, ensuring CAIRs are raised, monitored, updated, and closed out, in coordination with the structural team.
  • Inspection Coordination: Identify areas requiring specialized inspections, such as rope access, drones, or workboats, and manage these activities.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, security, environmental, and compliance standards. What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in civil/structural inspection, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
  • Qualifications: HND or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Skills: Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and familiarity with safety and compliance standards.
  • Work Authorization: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
