Working with our client to find an Experienced Project Engineer to join them on a permanent basis in Aberdeenshire just 20 minutes outside of Aberdeen. Offering a range of industry leading solutions all over the world within Oil & Gas, they are looking for experienced Project Engineers to join them ahead of an expected period of growth.

They are looking for someone with full project life cycle experience who can plan, coordinate and process work scopes for all products on project related contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing project plans, budgets and contract milestones.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed quotations for project related enquiries including the compilation of all relevant engineering, manufacturing and assembly / testing costs.
  • Reporting on project progress, cost budget and resources.
  • Coordination of all technical documentation which may be required for the bid submission eg drawings and operational procedures.
  • Chair the project kick-off meetings upon award of contract.
  • Prepare field survey work packs and resources.
  • Coordination of all technical documentation required for the project including engineering drawings, test procedures, operation procedures and risk assessments.
  • Attend client meetings and liaise with the client when appropriate during the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate visits by the client and / or 3rd party test inspection to witness testing activities.
  • Ensure drawing and associated documents are received in a timely manner from engineering to meet the project delivery schedule.
  • Write all necessary in-house testing procedures relative to each project undertaken.
  • Lead project risk management activities.
  • Write operational procedures for offshore scope of supply.
  • Compile mobilisation list and advise operations on deployment requirements for offshore personnel.
  • Assist with field deployment as required.
  • Ensure manufacturing record books are compiled.
  • Prepare close-out and revenue reports upon project completion.

Requirements:

  • Mechanically biased engineering degree and / or very strong practical Oil & Gas background.
  • Strong engineering background with topside/subsea/pipeline experience would be desirable.
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in client management with a commercial and financial awareness.
  • Good technical writing skills

Salary: circa 60k
