First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for a Project Engineer for their client in Aberdeen who because of recent growth, are looking to add to their team.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee projects from initial estimation to site commissioning, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015. You will liaise with clients, manage sub-contractors and suppliers, maintain HSEQ documentation, and make key commercial decisions to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015
- Estimate project costs based on customer requirements and specifications
- Plan and oversee projects from initiation to completion
- Prepare and maintain HSEQ documentation
- Liaise with clients, conduct meetings, and provide regular reports
- Oversee commercial aspects of projects
- Conduct HSEQ site audits and compile reports
- Coordinate and manage sub-contractors and site personnel
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE ACOPs, company policies, and client specifications
- Maintain a professional and safe working environment
- Carry out any additional duties as requested by the Divisional Manager
Skills & Abilities
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
- Willingness to work away from home and undertake overtime when required
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade
- 5+ years' experience in a mechanical, fabrication, or piping engineering environment (preferred)
- Experience working on CDM work sites (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (preferred)
- Full clean driving license (preferred)
