Project Engineer (Subsea) - Aberdeen Based
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer (Subsea) to join our client’s growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing subsea engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, safety compliance, and on-time delivery. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in subsea operations, and the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage live subsea projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Technical & Administrative Engineering Tasks: Provide engineering support for subsea projects, commissioning, intervention, and maintenance activities.
- Manage Project Costs: Oversee project costings and delivery of key projects
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients during the tender process.
- Risk & Safety Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations and best practices.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure technical specifications and project timelines are met.
- Site & Offshore Support: Provide on-site engineering assistance during subsea operations, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including engineering drawings, technical reports, and risk assessments.
Skills & Experience Required
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or Offshore Engineering (or related discipline).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in subsea engineering, offshore projects, or marine construction. Subsea tooling experience.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with engineering software such as 3D CAD, SolidWorks, Orcaflex, or ANSYS.
- Certifications: BOSIET, Offshore Survival, and relevant industry certifications are preferred.
- Project Execution: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to challenging offshore environments.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Travel -Willingness to travel offshore.
