Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a CNC Machinist to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Dyce area of Aberdeen.
Hours:
- Dayshift: Monday – Thursday (8 hours), Friday (7 hours)
- Nightshift: Monday – Wednesday (10 hours), Thursday (9 hours)
Hourly Pay Rate: £18.34 and nightshift allowance
Daily Duties –
- Perform tasks in accordance with Job Initiation Pack and approved drawings
- Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and safe i.e. there are no signs of damage and defects
- Check for defects to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications
- Report all non-conforming material/product to the Supervisor and record work activity on job cards and production reports
- Check condition of cables/equipment prior to starting job
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during, and after completing work
Candidate Requirements –
- Time-served or relevant engineering qualifications
- Previous experience within a machine shop environment /time-served
- Understands drawings and technical data
- Can set-up, programme, and operate CNC Lathe/Mill
- Driving Licence
