Cammach are currently recruiting for a Time Served Pipefitter for a busy expanding fabrication shop in Aberdeen. This is long term role and will go through agency for 12 weeks then become permanent.

Work will be a mix of Oil & Gas and renewables. Applicants must have extensive fabrication shop experience. As this is a long term position, applicants must be in commuting distance..

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in all relevant company safety procedures and pre job planning, including toolbox talks and risk assessments.
Laying/Marking out, cutting, forming and joining metal pipe.
Aligning and fixing pieces together through welding, bolting, threading and bending.
Produce tack welds on various items using a variety of processes, manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing etc.
Fulfil all company and/or client procedures and understand their individual responsibility with regard to overall QHSE performance.
Maintaining quality of work and ensuring compliance with job specific procedures and qualifications.
Must be flexible, able to adapt to different situations which may require working overtime hours.
Site work may also be required, working to client’s safety procedures and quality systems.
Working under limited supervision using standardised practices and/or methods

REQUIREMENTS

Operating equipment used in pipefitting / fabricating and may also require the operating of associated workshop machinery, tools, welding and tacking up assemblies.
Knowledge required of methods, techniques, materials, tools used in metal fabrication, welding, maintenance, repair, safety practices and procedures.
39-hour basic week, with overtime thereafter. Regular overtime each week. Weekend work when required.
