Three Bridges Recruitment have partnered with an Aberdeen-based global energy organisation that is looking for a skilled Credit Controller to join the team. In this key role for the business, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of credit control / collections and Accounts Receivable management. This is a permanent full-time role that will provide exposure to numerous business areas.

Job

The role of Credit Controller will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Actively manage credit to minimise risk
  • Offer recommendations for reviewing customer credit limits and setting aside sales reserves/bad debt provisions
  • Reach out to customers via phone, email, or other approved methods to ensure timely payments
  • Generate account statements
  • Work closely with team members to optimise the collection process in alignment with company goals
  • Provide high-quality customer support for credit and collection matters
  • Escalate recurring delinquent accounts as required by company policy
  • Identify and address factors contributing to payment delays
  • Assist with cases of customer insolvency
  • Promote the use of technology to streamline and automate collections
  • Coordinate with the Billing team on invoicing and revenue matters
  • Handle additional responsibilities to support the Credit & Collections department

You

As a Credit Controller, you will be skilled and/or qualified in the following:

  • Significant experience in collections, billing, or a relevant accounting role
  • Strong skills in reporting, research, analysis, communication, and organisation
  • Familiarity with contract terms and collection-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database tools, and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial capabilities (preferred)
  • Experience with multicurrency transactions and understanding of country-specific financial regulations
  • Ability to effectively navigate customer contracts and web portal
