We are working with a well-established ecological consultancy based near Aberdeen, Scotland, which has been providing expert services for 50 years. Specialising in arboricultural and ecological consulting, they have contributed to hundreds of projects across Scotland, supporting a diverse range of clients. Their work spans tree surveys, ecological assessments (including habitat and protected species surveys), and advising on sustainable development practices.

They are seeking a Senior Ecologist with:

  • A degree in ecology or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing ecology-related projects independently and leading small teams.
  • Hands-on expertise conducting arboricultural, habitat, and protected species surveys (Phase 1 & Phase 2)
  • Ideally, at least one protected species survey licence (with an interest in pursuing others).
  • Skills in producing and reviewing technical ecological reports, along with proficiency in mapping tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or AutoCAD.
