About the Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity to support a Pre-FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) study for a key player in the oil and gas industry. This project focuses on repurposing and re-lifing an existing terminal, incorporating electrical network rationalisation, new substation installations, optioneering, and cost estimation. You will be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team in an excellent working environment, contributing to a critical phase of an impactful project.

Key Responsibilities:
As a client-facing Lead Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Allocate tasks to team members, ensuring delivery aligns with the project plan.
  • Deliver high-quality electrical engineering tasks to meet schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international codes of practice, legislation, and client/company standards and procedures.
  • Manage obsolescence and provide solutions for aging equipment.
  • Conduct surveys, generate load lists, produce equipment specifications, and complete equipment sizing calculations.
  • Develop scopes of work for equipment refurbishment, providing detailed documentation and oversight.

Technical Expertise:

  • Comprehensive understanding of design practices and installation requirements in electrical engineering.
  • Extensive experience within the Oil & Gas sector, with knowledge of process plant requirements in potentially explosive environments.
  • In-depth understanding of UK legislation and standards relevant to the field.
  • Experience in risk identification, quantification, and management, with a strong focus on HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electronic/Electrical/Control Engineering) or equivalent qualifications (e.g., advanced apprenticeships).
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body or evidence of being close to achieving these professional titles.
