We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a dedicated Engineering team. This role involves being the primary electrical specialist, ensuring plant equipment operates efficiently, and contributing to ongoing improvements in our facilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Electrical Specialist: Act as the in-house electrical expert, mentoring team members and providing on-the-job training.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure all electrical plant equipment is functioning correctly to maintain peak efficiency.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
- Fault Finding: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults across various installations.
- Preventative and General Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance and general upkeep of electrical systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement improvement methods to enhance plant infrastructure, focusing on quality, cost, and safety.
- Documentation: Complete daily maintenance check sheets and job cards promptly.
- Inventory Management: Regularly check inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of spares and materials.
- Learning: Gain knowledge of production machinery through provided on-the-job training.
Person Specification:
- Experience: Several years of experience as a site-based Electrical Engineer, preferably in a frozen food or automated environment.
- Communication: Confident communicator, capable of working effectively across multiple production areas with minimal supervision.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to stay focused in a sometimes pressured environment.
Experience and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Time-served Engineer with a minimum of a City & Guilds qualification. IE Regulations 18th Edition or equivalent is preferred.
