Our client is currently recruiting for an ROV Electrical Technician. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on full-time contract basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To carry out Electrical maintenance on ROV and equipment systems (ROV, TMS, Winch, HPU, A-Frame etc). In accordance with company procedures and direction of Workshop Manager
  • To carry out maintenance, repair and upgrade activities related to the workshop electrical systems
  • To carry out re-wiring of electrical panels and junction boxes
  • To carry out testing of electrical equipment prior to shipping out to systems, including: Sliprings, Motors, Cameras, Lights etc
  • Assist the Workshop Manager in all maintenance and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and guidelines
  • Conduct refurbishment, maintenance and repairs on all relevant equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and guidelines
  • Assist with Inventory checks carried out on ROV systems, which may include updated ROV reporting system on computer
  • To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of the company’s current requirements / protocols / policies and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with company policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company specific procedures
  • Ensure that working areas are kept in clean and tidy condition

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required: Industry training in Engineering, Electrical disciplines, and Time-served.
  • Desirable: Previous Electrical experience in a similar ROV and workshop environment.
