Project Engineer - Hydrogen

Our client is looking for a Project Engineer - Hydrogen for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

You will be responsible for the successful execution of the manufacture of equipment for the Hydrogen sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work collaboratively with a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team to bring these critical projects to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management:

• Manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
• Ensure project deliverables meet all technical specifications and client requirements.
• Oversee project documentation and reporting.

Teamwork & Communication:

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
• Facilitate clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and vendors.
• Attend project meetings and presentations to provide status updates and address concerns.

Technical Expertise:

• Maintain a strong understanding of technologies, industry standards, and regulations relevant to the hydrogen sector.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in the hydrogen field.
• Work with the engineering team to ensure technical feasibility and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet all specifications.
• Conduct or oversee project reviews and inspections.

REQUIREMENTS

• HND or above in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in project engineering, preferably within the energy sector or related industries.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented with a focus on achieving project goals.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
