Reed Finance are currently supporting a well-regarded manufacturing business to identify strong candidates for a new Finance Manager to join their senior management team.

The successful candidate will lead the site Finance team, providing crucial financial information, control, reporting, KPI achievement, and project management.

This role is integral to supporting the cost-effective and efficient operations of the site within a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of weekly and monthly operational financial reports and manufacturing KPI’s
  • Manage end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead analysis of financial data, presenting findings to site and functional senior management teams
  • Support the audit process and act as the point of contact for external auditors
  • Identify risks to delivery of accurate and timely reporting, propose solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Collaborate with Divisional and Group Finance teams to meet reporting requirements and KPIs
  • Drive improvements in department processes and functionality of financial systems
  • Lead the appraisal of site operations budgets and forecasts
  • Manage capital expenditure allocation for the site
  • Work with Stock and Distribution Managers to monitor stock levels and valuation
  • Improve the accuracy of category reporting and interrogate operational performance
  • Review ad hoc reporting for the business and external parties
  • Maintain strong working relationships across site, divisional, and group functions
  • Analyse all cost areas for effective cost management
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and processes
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects with financial advice and guidance

Candidate

  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or similar) with more than 2 years post-qualification experience preferred
  • Financial reporting experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Proven leadership in a finance function
