Key Responsibilities
As an Import/Export Trailer Controller, your tasks will include:
- Coordinating trailer imports and exports to Scandinavia and Holland.
- Managing a busy office environment while balancing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
- Planning and determining optimal shipment routes, considering costs, transit times, and the nature of goods.
- Negotiating transportation rates and preparing accurate quotes for clients.
- Handling documentation to meet customs, insurance, and packing requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and fiscal policies.
- Staying updated on legislation, political developments, and other factors affecting freight movement.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Acting as a customs broker to facilitate smooth and compliant freight processing.
Your Profile
Experience:
- Essential: A solid understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
- Desirable: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
