Are you ready to join a dynamic and market-leading team in the shipping and transport industry? Our client is a global leader with many UK offices and a presence in strategic locations worldwide and are seeking an Import/Export Trailer Controller to join their Aberdeen branch.

Key Responsibilities

As an Import/Export Trailer Controller, your tasks will include:

  • Coordinating trailer imports and exports to Scandinavia and Holland.
  • Managing a busy office environment while balancing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Planning and determining optimal shipment routes, considering costs, transit times, and the nature of goods.
  • Negotiating transportation rates and preparing accurate quotes for clients.
  • Handling documentation to meet customs, insurance, and packing requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and fiscal policies.
  • Staying updated on legislation, political developments, and other factors affecting freight movement.
  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Acting as a customs broker to facilitate smooth and compliant freight processing.

Experience:

  • Essential: A solid understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
