Job Title:Auto-CAD TechnicianResponsible to:Engineering Manager (BEng)Location:AberdeenshireSalary:Up to £40k Working Hours:Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30 (Flexible)________________________________________Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto-CAD Technician to join our client's team in Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will produce multi-discipline drawings and documents for projects and enquiries, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves conducting quality reviews of drawings and models to meet internal and external specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvement processes.________________________________________Main Responsibilities* Create 2D and 3D drawings and models using Autodesk software such as Inventor and Auto-CAD while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.* Maintain and populate the CAD library, ensuring components, templates, and standards are updated and accessible.* Conduct quality reviews of drawings and models to meet internal and external specifications.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project transitions.* Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical reports.* Distribute drawings and documents internally and externally.* Liaise with operations and procurement teams to provide technical support as necessary.* Assist with enquiries and obtain quotations for project materials and equipment as required.* Update and as-build drawings/documents as necessary.* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.* Participate in safety meetings and training activities.________________________________________Entry RequirementsEducation/Qualifications:* A recognised technical qualification or 5 years of relevant work experience.Related Experience:* Strong knowledge of DNV 2.7-1 structures.* Proficiency in AutoCAD drawing software packages.* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Special Training (Desirable):* InspHire Office Edition.* Equipment product knowledge.________________________________________Key Competencies* Excellent attention to detail and quality control.* Ability to work independently and take initiative.* Strong communication and collaboration skills.* Flexibility to adapt to operational requirements.________________________________________Why Join the Team?* Competitive salary package.* Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects.* Be part of a supportive and innovative team environment.* Career development and training opportunities.* Holiday entitlement of 33 days. * Company pension. * Medical cash plan scheme.* Employee reward scheme.* Electric car scheme.
