About the Role

A well-established construction and civil engineering companyseeks an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) compliance. This role is a key part of the Senior Management Team, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.

This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives on promoting a strong safety culture while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HSEQ leadership and support across all business operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, welfare, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead or assist in accident investigations, implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and manage the Business Risk Register and Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Develop and implement HSEQ strategies, campaigns, and improvement programmes.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance and provide guidance.
  • Liaise with clients and key stakeholders on HSEQ policies and best practices.
  • Mentor and coach staff to promote continuous professional development.
  • Ensure quarterly board reports and key documentation are completed on time.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to align HSEQ initiatives with training needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
  • IOSH Membership with full CPD
  • Minimum 5 years HSEQ experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence
