Responsibilities In The Role:
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct and review risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement measures to minimize risk.
- Inspections & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, prepare reports with recommendations for improvements and corrective actions.
- Incident & Near Miss Tracking: Record and analyse near misses and accidents, compile statistical reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Observation Card Management: Review incoming observation cards, ensure timely investigation and resolution of reported concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards: Stay updated with evolving legislation and industry developments, ensuring compliance with relevant QHSE regulations and best practices.
- Specialist Advisory: Provide expert guidance on fire safety, hazardous substances, and machine safeguarding.
- Workplace Safety Improvements: Implement changes to working practices to ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards.
- Policy & Documentation Development: Assist in the creation and maintenance of local governing documents and industry best practices.
- Incident Investigation & Resolution: Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong leadership skills in QHSE coordination, compliance, and continuous improvement. NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
