Cammach are currently recruiting for an ROV Instructor. Located in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent (staff) basis.

ROLE

The primary purpose of this role is to promote and provide training and competence guidance to all offshore ROV personnel, ensuring alignment with IMCA and the companies internal ROV competence scheme guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct induction training for new ROV technician recruits.
  • Instruct and supervise ROV technicians using the ROV simulator.
  • Develop and maintain the internal quality assurance (IQA) strategy for the ROV personnel Competence Assurance and Assessment Scheme (CAAS).
  • Identify training needs based on CAAS outcomes.
  • Develop a coaching philosophy to support the professional growth of ROV personnel.
  • Plan, design, deliver, and evaluate in-house induction training and coaching in line with competencies defined in the company’s internal ROV competence scheme.
  • Assist in delivering various ROV training workshops and courses with both internal and external providers.
  • Evaluate external training provisions to ensure they meet the company’s internal ROV competence scheme requirements.
  • Monitor and track ROV technician competency progression according to the ROV competency program.
  • Conduct training and coaching offshore or off-site as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and/or training in Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, or Hydraulic disciplines (University, College, or Industry-based).
  • Previous offshore experience with ROV operations, including supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desirable Experience:
  • Experience with Innovator ROV systems, procedures, and maintenance programs.
  • Experience delivering training in electrical, electronic, and/or hydraulic disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic and/or hydraulic applications.
  • Willingness to undertake training and self-study to enhance skills in delivering course and workshop materials.
  • L&D9i and/or L&D11 Competent Assessor/Verifier Qualification to SQA Level, or willingness to achieve these qualifications to support Internal Verification of Competence Units.
  • Currently holding, or willingness to work towards, an Authorising Engineer qualification to deliver and sign off in-house High Voltage Training.
