Supporting the Technical Services function by contributing to the smooth operation of our workshop on our premises.

Assist with a variety of tasks, ensuring a well-organised, safe, and efficient working environment. A key part of this role will involve maintaining tools and equipment, assisting with preparing materials and supporting general workshop and warehouse duties, including the pressure testing of equipment.

You will conduct and perform your employment duties in a professional, safe, and diligent manner, as well as the execution of KCI operations in accordance with job programmes and KCI procedures, to ensure the successful completion of the operation and client satisfaction.

Workshop and Warehouse Duties:

  • Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and tidiness to give the correct impression to the client
  • Carry out stock control of tools/materials /equipment and replace them as required
  • Safely store and retrieve workshop supplies and parts
  • Prepare and pack materials for shipment as required
  • Operate workshop machinery and tools as required, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
  • Assist with manufacturing of KCI sealant products
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials and deliveries
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on tools and workshop equipment
  • Update Equipment Maintenance & Testing
  • Asset register management (including register reviews, equipment status, booking equipment In & Out, X drive folder organisation)
  • Assist with the organisation of Forklift yearly inspections
  • Assist with the organisation of compressor yearly inspections
  • Assist with the organisation of LOLLER 6 monthly inspections
  • Assist with Special Waste Disposal
  • Assist with COSHH Assessment Yearly Updates (COSHH Assessor)

Pressure Testing Duties:

  • Assist with operating and maintaining pressure testing equipment (e.g., pressure gauges, testing chambers, etc.)
  • Support pressure testing operations, ensuring equipment is calibrated correctly and tested to specifications
  • Ensure the correct setup and safe operation of testing procedures under supervision
  • Keep accurate records of testing results and perform any required documentation

Reporting

  • Work effectively with other members of staff to ensure a harmonious working environment
  • Perform other duties which may be required as directed by your line manager or his deputy
  • All job-relevant paperwork to be completed and produced in a timely and professional manner as and when required

QHSE - Standard

  • Ensure all applicable quality and operational procedures as identified in KCI manuals and work scopes are always adhered to
  • Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with KCI safety and environmental procedures
  • Ensure all incidents or accidents are immediately reported and relevant paperwork completed.
  • Ensure all environmental procedures are always adhered to
  • Comply with duties in relation to fire safety, as set out in the H&S Policy and fire safety plan
  • Maintain good overall knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
