Draughtsman (GRP/Fibreglass Experience)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Draughtsman with a strong background in GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) and Fibreglass to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed models, sketches, drawings, and blueprints using 2D and 3D design software. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with composite materials and has a keen eye for precision in design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and create detailed technical drawings and designs for GRP and Fibreglass products using 2D and 3D design software.
• Produce sketches, models, and blueprints to guide the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs.
• Interpret project requirements and translate them into clear and precise technical documentation.
• Modify and update existing designs based on feedback from the team or client requirements.
• Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant safety standards and industry regulations.
• Assist with the prototyping process and provide technical support during production phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman with a focus on GRP and Fibreglass materials.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of materials, production techniques, and manufacturing processes for GRP and Fibreglass products.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of CAM software.
• Previous experience in the marine, offshore, or construction industries (where GRP/Fibreglass is commonly used).
• A degree or certification in Engineering, Design, or a related field.
