Group Technical Manager (Maritime / Naval / Offshore) £83,000 -£93,500 DOE + Negotiable + Progression + Training + Flexible Hours + Hybrid working + Company BenefitsAberdeenAre you a highly skilled and experienced Group Technical Manager to take on ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective performance of a fleet of ships.On offer is the opportunity to join the business working as reporting to the Chief Officer with the view of being involved in the allocation of resources and monitor and implement management and risk procedures, manage ship maintenance programs to ensure seaworthiness and continued compliance with regulatory requirements.This company operate within the offshore PSV and ERRV industry and operates the largest wholly UK-owned fleet engaged in supporting the UK's offshore Oil & Gas and offshore wind markets.In this position, you'll be an integral part of a close-knit team, focusing on overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with all safety and regulations.This dynamic role would suit a Technical Manager from a Marine background looking for an exciting and varied role within a well-established yet growing company where you will work on cutting edge projects and can increase your earnings through a bonus.The Role:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Advise and update the Chief Technology Officer on ship operations, while closely monitoring budgets and expenditures.
  • Manage ship maintenance programs to ensure seaworthiness and continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead "Rescue Services," including the allocation of resources and inventory management, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to the organization's Management System and risk management procedures.
  • Develop and implement frameworks to manage risk and drive workflow improvements for enhanced service delivery.
  • Ensure thorough follow-up on all vetting, audit, and investigation findings to prevent recurrences.
  • Review budget and expenditure reports
  • Conduct regular visits to all vessels
  • Verify all vessel equipment, systems, and structures meet SOLAS, IMO, Class, and Flag Administration regulations, including environmental laws

The Person:

  • Experience in offshore support vessels management
  • Qualified Chief Engineer or similar qualification
