Why This Role?Our client, a premier wholesale distributor in the motor trade across the North of Scotland, is seeking an Operations Manager who thrives on challenges and is committed to excellence. In this key role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our client's Aberdeen and Dundee depots, ensuring seamless processes that meet customer demands while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Operational Excellence: You will be responsible for streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring all operations run smoothly. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding service while meeting and exceeding operational KPIs.
• Team Leadership: You’ll motivate and develop a talented team, instilling a strong culture of accountability and collaboration. Your leadership will empower staff to excel and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring sustainable growth and enhanced operational performance.
• Budget Management: You will manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial targets are met while maximising resource efficiency and minimising costs.
• Customer Satisfaction: Drive initiatives that put the customer first, ensuring that their needs are met through effective operational practices and superior service delivery.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all operational processes comply with relevant regulations, including Health & Safety and quality standards, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

About You:

• You have proven experience in operations management or a related field, with a track record of successfully leading teams and achieving operational targets.
• Your strategic mindset allows you to analyse situations, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
• You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and inspire your team.
• You are commercially astute, understanding how to balance operational efficiency with customer satisfaction and profitability.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a service-oriented business or retail management with a strong operational background.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams to achieve KPIs and operational excellence.
• Strong skills in budget management and financial oversight, with an ability to drive cost efficiencies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and operational compliance in areas such as Health & Safety and quality control.
• Willingness to travel between the Aberdeen and Dundee depots as necessary.
