Are you an experienced Mobile Gas Engineer looking for a new challenge?
I am working with a facilities management company who are looking to add a Mobile Gas Engineer to their team. The company specialise in PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial buildings. This role is a field based position and will be covering the Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee and Perth areas.
About the role of Mobile Gas Engineer:
My client work mainly on commercial buildings such as high street retailers and banks. You will be tasked with attending around 4 sites a day to carry out repairs or maintenance within the buildings which will include PPM and reactive work.
Responsibilities for Mobile Gas Engineer:
- Carry out maintenance and repair, including fabric & basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract
- Ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards
- Ensure all required paperwork work is completed and submitted within timescales
- Provide information and give quotes to clients
- Use hand-held technology effectively
- Monitor quality of work from sub-contractors
- Ensure all required certification is completed correctly and any remedial work is identified
Requirements of a Mobile Gas Engineer:
- The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 (ideally 3) or equivalent
- Have experience as a mobile gas engineer or experience as a domestic gas engineer and be willing to be up-skilled.
- Experience providing maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lightning
- Driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
- Willing to work on a call out rota providing out of hours full cover to clients
- Knowledge of health and safety and safe working practises
What we offer for a Mobile Gas Engineer:
- Salary between £30,744 and £46,791 depending on experience
- Electric Van with charging costs covered
- Electric charging point installation cost covered
- Call out fee
