Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Dyce £65k - Join our Oil & Gas Team in Dyce!Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas Industry is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team based in Dyce. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring that all project goals are met within budgetary constraints.
Specifically, the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be working on hydraulic control valves for Surface & Subsea Applications, so the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have direct or parallel experience in Hydraulics / Pressure Equipment / Pressure Vessels and associated standards (API / ASME / PED etc).
Key Responsibilities:Mechanical Engineering
- Developing innovative project solutions using sound technical knowledge of design principles.
- Providing expert guidance on complex issues related to mechanical engineering.
Mechanical Design
- Creating detailed designs utilizing AutoCAD software or 3D CAD programs like SolidWorks etc.
- aking sure every component meets regulatory standards
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) qualification required preferably MEng/MSc/BEng/BSME degree program(s)
- Relevant experience of at least eight years as a senior engineer
Technical Skills Required:
- 3D CAD Design experience & AutoCAD proficiency necessary along with expertise operating MathCad calculations tool and P&ID development processes;
- Knowledge of Pressure Vessel / API / ASME / PED codes & standards would be highly desirable
