Service Engineer required. My client is a leading supplier and maintainer of diesel-powered equipment across Scotland and England. They are looking to bring on board a Service Engineer to look after their diesel equipment and ancillaries across Aberdeen and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be familiar with diesel engine maintenance, will have experience across fault finding, diagnosis, maintenance and repair and will be based locally to Aberdeen.

You will need a full UK Driving License for this position

Service Engineer Position Overview

  • To service equipment on customer sites and to respond to call-outs when needed
  • To work closely with the Hire Controller, Driver and Fitters to ensure all hires proceed smoothly
  • To work on the repair and maintenance of diesel pumps and generators
  • To service, repair and overhaul equipment and associated components both within the depot, at customer premises and third-party sites
  • To assist with the loading and unloading of pumps and generators onto the lorry for deliveries through the use of Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck
  • Complying with all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Travelling throughout the Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and occasionally Inverness

Service Engineer Position Requirements

  • Diesel engine maintenance experience is essential
  • Ideally experience working on pumps and/or power equipment
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualified in mechanical related discipline
  • Previous experience in a Service Engineer position is ideal, or be happy to travel for the role
  • First-hand experience with Fault Finding, Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair
  • CSCS Card desirable
  • Happy to take part in 1 in 3 call out rota
  • Happy to occasionally staying away if travelling to Inverness
  • Full Driving licence
  • Based locally to Aberdeen or Dundee

Service Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary £34,000 - £36,000
  • Call out pay at £120 a week. Time and half or double time paid for any hours worked whilst called out
  • Company Van, Fuel card, Specialist Tools provided
  • 40 hours a week Monday - Friday 8:00 - 16:30
  • 33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays
