Our client Repsol are currently recruiting for a Competence Systems & Processes Advisor to join their team based in Aberdeen on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for an experienced Auditor with some experience in the Oil and Gas sector. For more information on this see below:Job Profile Summary The Competence Systems & Processes Analyst is responsible for playing a key member of the Competence and Training team, providing overview and governance of the Competency Assurance Management System (iCAMS) and all related processes and procedures. The individual leads quality assurance of the competency management system and audit assurance of third-party contracting companies’ competency management systems. Accountabilities and Responsibilities • Support the design, development, and implementation of competency processes and procedures aligned with Repsol Resources UKs Competency Assurance Management System • Develop and execute audit processes to measure contracting companies competence management and ensure compliance • Implement internal verification quality assurance processes to monitor and enhance the effectiveness of the Integrated Competence Assurance Management System (iCAMS) • Manage team communications with relevant stakeholders and identify opportunities for operational practice improvement • Ensure Competency Assurance is integrated into all business operations and complies with regulatory and company standards • Maintain integrity of data in the Competence and Training Management System • Contribute to the overall competence strategy management plan • Support the monitoring and improvement of the integrated Competency Management System, including assessment and internal verification practices • Assist Site Assessors in delivering integrated Competency Management System training for newly identified Assessors • Review site competence compliance and collaborate with offshore/site leadership on improvement opportunities • Utilize competency planning tools to monitor competency progression within teams • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Certification & Training Matrices are relevant to organizational skill requirements • Implement a competency-based approach to optimize on-the-job site-based training efficiency • Ensure Competence Assurance Management System users have appropriate access levels • Liaise with Training Management Services contractor to ensure effective service delivery • Conduct internal and contractor audits/compliance monitoring • Schedule and lead Competence and Training compliance audits in coordination with the Audit Manager • Standardize procedures and monitor performance improvement • Review cross-asset competence performance evidence, facilitate standardization processes, and provide recommendations on assessment and assurance practices • Facilitate the SLFP (Safety Leadership for Frontline Personnel) appointment process • Undertake additional duties as necessary to support the department leader and team, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. • Participate as a member of the Human Resources Emergency Response Team Professional Skills and Experiences • Experience developing and implementing audit/quality assurance processes for competence management systems • Previous involvement in competency and training teams, demonstrating practical experience in the field • Significant experience in oil & gas production/maintenance, providing valuable industry knowledge • Technical proficiency with understanding of diverse disciplines and business systems • Ability to influence peers and senior managers, driving change and organizational improvement • Strong knowledge of safety legislation, legal requirements, and operations management systems in the oil & gas industry • Analytical skills to quickly comprehend data and make well-founded decisions, contributing to organizational value and efficiency Educational Qualification and Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or equivalent O&G experience. Master’s degree is preferred. • Certificate in Competency Management (e.g., from a recognized industry body) is preferred
