Job Description: Occupational Therapist Band 5/6

Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 5/6)Location: Roswell House, AberdeenPeriod: 13/01/25 for 3 monthsReports To: Senior Occupational Therapist / Therapy Team Lead

Job Summary

As a Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based therapy programs to support patients in achieving their maximum level of independence. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality care to individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions across a variety of settings, such as hospitals, community services, and patient homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
    • Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Intervention and Therapy:

    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support rehabilitation, skill development, and functional independence.
    • Prescribe and adapt assistive devices and environmental modifications where appropriate.
    • Deliver group and individual therapy sessions as required.
