We are currently recruiting for a QA Lead for our engineering client in the Aberdeen area. This would be a permanent position and will be office based.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The role is for someone keen to lead and head up our small team, this would suit an individual willing to help in any way as workloads demand.
  • It would be essential to have experience from the oil & gas industry from a senior QA and a strong background knowledge and experience with quality management procedures in oil and gas and good strong knowledge of HSE procedures,
  • knowledge of subsea equipment manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Responsible for maintaining an effective company wide quality management system (QMS) qualified & experienced person to handle all company QA & HSE
  • Maintaining the required policies, processes, standards, procedures, forms and guidelines in conjunction with departmental managers
  • Overseeing ongoing compliance with relevant regulation, legislation and national & international standards
  • Developing and maintaining an effective QMS control system
  • Promoting Quality culture and standards of best practice
  • Setting and maintaining quality objectives and standards for the organisation
  • Monitoring and measuring performance.
  • Management of the QMS audit program
  • Leading HSE throughout the company, to ensure risk controls are maintained and adhered to. Performing audits to ensure HSE compliance
  • Establishing an effective continual improvement process within the company
  • Providing appropriate quality performance information and advice to the MD and Senior Management to allow informed decision making
  • Liaise with clients QHSE Personnel
  • Ensuring that all project/contract personnel are aware of the requirements of the Quality Plan
  • Manage Customer and Certifying Authority Audits
  • Assist process departments within company regarding Investigating & analysing NCR’s, Customer complaints, process and field failures
  • Participate in internal meetings from weekly, monthly & annual Management Review
  • Investigate poor performing suppliers with a view to identifying opportunities for improvement aligned with company performance objectives for quality

  • compilation of equipment certification packages for the equipment and products we supply and manufacture, ensuring we meet the customers’ requirements and that of the industry national and international standards.
