PROJECT DIRECTOR

ABERDEEN
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Director to be employed by a Tier 1 contractor seconded to the northern division Ideally, you will be based in or around the Aberdeen area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region

What you will be doing:

  • Work with Clients and SFT to understand and scope out the required outcomes of identified and potential Hub projects
  • Identify appropriate and affordable funding solutions
  • Support translation of local and national policies into business cases and development plans, including place, net zero, inclusive economic growth, digital and any other arising new policies as they emerge
  • Coordinate feasibility studies and establish teams as required
  • Assess the key risks associated with proposed developments and ensure that these are mitigated or that provision is made to accommodate those risks
  • Support and promote the implementation of the North Infrastructure Commission
  • Provide leadership to project teams to ensure successful delivery over a full range of projects and programmes from initial inception through to on-site delivery
  • Establish close and strong relationships with a range of stakeholders

About You:

  • An understanding of public sector processes and the ability to coordinate Hub activities with those requirements
  • Ability to manage innovation within a highly regulated environment
  • Familiarity with the preparation of business cases and project bidding
