Presently, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team during a period of growth in Aberdeen and can contribute to their continued success.
In your new role, as Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civils), you will be responsible for running the daily commercial function across civil engineering projects. Within this role, you will be offered a hybrid working model and responsibilities will include managing all costs relating to civil engineering projects from the initial calculations to the final figures, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure project milestones are achieved, providing input on potential cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety, preparing contract documents, including bills of quantities, monitoring and controling project budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met, handling variations, claims, and disputes effectively and efficiently, produce detailed progress reports and forecasts & mentor and support junior quantity surveyors.
As a minimum requirement you must have a minimum of 5 years working as a surveyor on civil engineering projects and must have an in-depth knowledge of the previous roles mentioned. Ideally, you will have a degree in a construction or civil engineering related field and have previous experience delivering projects within budget.
