Stores / Parts Person

Our client is looking for a Stores / Parts Person for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are to be carried out on a daily basis to ensure the smooth operation of the stores/parts department.

• Process incoming parts & materials, ensuring that these are the correct P/N and QTY’s, booking in all parts on their corresponding order numbers and making the correct people aware that the orders have come in (only if necessary)
• Ensuring all booked in parts have been given a location on the system and are placed into this location in stores before moving onto the next task
• Carry out some general stores duties I.E helping engineers find the correct parts required for their Jobs and any general Workshop maintenance that they may be carrying out.  Keeping stores tidy and in a reasonable state to best help with controlling the correct stock levels.
• Arrange the weekly ordering of the gas bottles for the trucks and arranging the uplift of the empties.
• Fleet Jobs - Carry out the sourcing, purchase or issue of stock as requested or advised by the Service team and the Engineers and place these on the Parts shelf (or Awaiting parts shelf is necessary) in the workshop for the engineers.
• Quote Jobs - Carry out the sourcing and pricing out parts advised by engineers and provide these prices to the Service team and await customers decision before carrying out the purchase or issue of stock 
• Daily check of the parts Issue sheet in stores to ensure parts removed by Engineers are issued to Jobs prior to the service team completing/invoicing the job. 
• Daily check of the minimum stock level list to ensure we stay stocked up on the common use parts
• And any other stores/parts related tasks required by the Parts Supervisor 

Please Note: Forklift training and Hydraulic hose manufacture training will be provided.
