Technical Services Coordinator

We are seeking a Technical Services Coordinator to manage our Site Quality Assurance systems, ensuring they meet customer, business, legislative, and relevant accreditation body standards. The role is pivotal in maintaining food safety and quality standards, working closely with operations teams to achieve consistency in line with product specifications. This position requires a strong leadership focus and the ability to drive technical standards throughout the site.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Facilitate and advise on the development, implementation, and review of H.A.C.C.P, T.A.C.C.P, and V.A.C.C.P systems.
  • Monitor control points and critical control points to drive technical and food safety standards on site.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute technically controlled and due diligence documentation in line with site practices.
  • Enforce and review site food safety, quality documentation, and due diligence.
  • Ensure documentation compliance with site requirements, customer base, and governing legislation.
  • Control the distribution and archiving of site documents.
  • Submit timely departmental/site K.P.I reports and trend critical KPI targets for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and maintain the site’s internal auditing system, ensuring compliance.
  • Support customer/3rd party audits and visits, ensuring readiness of documentation.
  • Handle customer complaints/non-conformances, coordinating investigations and responses.
  • Input data accurately and timely into company systems.
  • Assist in training technical and quality teams to meet departmental, site, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with all departments and relevant representatives on technical, quality, or food safety matters.
  • Enforce health & safety requirements and report any potential issues.
  • Maintain a professional manner in all communications.
  • Ensure equipment calibration and functionality within the department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Company Values; Passion for food, Ambition, Responsibility, and Teamwork.
  • GCSE in Maths & English; production of certificates is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel & Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on food safety and quality within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of customer codes of practice is advantageous.
  • Strong influencing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Experience in a high-volume meat processing factory is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a chilled environment and perform manual handling tasks.
  • Fluent in English with effective communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
