Reed Engineering are seeking a Cable Assembly Technician to join a company who are looking to expand their team. The company supply a range of cable assemblies to meet the demands of the growing underwater technology industry, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in soldering and the ability to test and design electronic components. 

Location: Aberdeen 

Day to day roles may include: 

  • Work closely with the production team to support the assembly and wiring of production jobs 
  • Adhere to quality standards by following set procedures 
  • Inspect work and report any production errors
  • Perform soldering tasks and work towards achieving IPC-620 standard (training will be provided)
  • Utilise test equipment and fixtures as required, maintaining high-quality standards 
  • Take full responsibility for personal health and safety 

Required: 

  • Experience of soldering and electronics 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Understanding of technical drawings 
  • Good attention to detail
