Speech and Language Therapy Band 6Area - Roswell House, Aberdeen Period - 13/01/25 for 3 months (Would require training in dysphagia assessment and management)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Band 6 practitioner. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist assessment, diagnosis, and therapy to individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders. This role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, providing training and support to colleagues, and ensuring high-quality care aligned with current evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide individualized therapy for patients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
  • Manage a caseload independently, prioritizing based on clinical needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with clear, measurable outcomes.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to evaluate and document patient progress.
  • Provide advice, support, and training to families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in patient care.
  • Deliver specialist interventions for complex cases, such as neurogenic communication disorders, dysphagia, or developmental language disorders.
