We are working with a luxury golf destination resort based outside the City Centre of Aberdeen on a Golf Course Mechanic role.

The role is to maintain and service the fleet of machinery used on the golf courses.

The course mechanic is vital in supporting the green-keeping team with the repair and maintenance of specialist golf course machinery and requires energy, commitment and mechanical expertise

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment including diesel, electric and gasoline powered automobiles, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other turf equipment.
  • Assist with the instruction and/or training of employees regarding preventive maintenance, and the proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment
  • Help to maintain a preventive maintenance program within budget on all equipment including the repair and maintenance of equipment, keeping records of parts and labour needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies required for equipment or service.
  • Keep a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect equipment performance on the course daily and make emergency repairs to equipment on the course and services equipment prior to use.
  • Responsible for shop area maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by Links Superintendent.

You will have:

  • Ideally, experience in a similar role
  • Relevant qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Commitment to high quality standards and keen eye for detail
  • Team player with an ability to multi-task
  • Positive attitude with cheerful and courteous demeanour
  • Good time management and time keeping
  • Full, clean, driving licence
