Job Description: Offshore Sales Chemical EngineerLocation: Aberdeen

Position Overview:I am seeking a dynamic and motivated Offshore Sales Chemical Engineer to join a growing team in Aberdeen. As a leading provider of chemical solutions for the oil and gas industry, I am looking for someone with a strong technical background in chemicals and a passion for sales. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling chemical products to drilling contractors, service companies, and operators in the offshore sector. You will also focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell chemical products and solutions to clients in the offshore oil and gas industry, including drilling contractors, service companies, and operators.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and to stay informed on industry trends.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding chemical solutions and their applications.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of products and services to clients.
  • Regularly report on sales progress, client feedback, and market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting safe practices within the offshore sector.
  • Attend offshore and client sites as necessary, with travel required to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in offshore chemical sales or a related field within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong technical background in chemical products and their applications, with the ability to provide expert guidance to clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and provide strategic recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Valid offshore certifications, such as BOSIET and MIST, are an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel offshore and to client sites as required.
