Our market-leading engineering company, specialising in the defence industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Workshop Technician to join our dedicated team in Aberdeen. As a Senior Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking the repair, service, and calibration of company equipment within our Aberdeen Workshop and Warehouse. Your role will ensure that all tasks are completed to meet agreed timescales, quality standards, and both internal and external expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and servicing on a variety of electronic equipment to a high standard.
- Calibrate equipment to meet precise specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed timelines and complies with quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and organised workshop environment.
- Troubleshoot and conduct electronic fault finding, utilising your expertise to resolve issues.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to aid in repairs and servicing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electronic fault finding and repair.
- Ability to solder to IPC J-STD-001 standards.
- Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
