Contek Recruitment are currently working with an engineering company that specializes inoffering a comprehensive blend of resources to the oil and gas exploration and production industries, based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Due to continued growth, they are currently searching for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- MIG, TIG, and MMA welding of stainless steel and inconel parts for the Oil & Gas and Subsea industries.
- Fabrication of steel structures, BOP's, valves, and pipework.
- Welding to DNV / Lloyds / ASME standards.
- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings.
- Identifying and resolving safety issues on the job site.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within MIG, TIG, and MMA welding.
- Previous experience within fabrication of steel structures and pipework.
- Competent in the use of power tools.
- Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings.
- Previousexperience working with stainless steel and inconel.
- Previous experience working with pipe butts and overlays.
