We are looking for a dedicated Registered Children's Home Manager who shares our values to help us fulfil our mission.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role as a Registered Care Manager located in Abergavenny. In your new role, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and overseeing the day-to-day running of our 4 bedded Children's home supporting Young People with Emotional & Behavioural Disorders. This includes maintaining a high standard of care, ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to, and upholding CIW regulations. You will also work closely with children, their families, and other professionals to provide a nurturing, safe environment for our children.

Qualifications:

  • Have level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or have an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Registered Children's Home Manager or a similar management position in residential children's homes. Adult backgrounds will be considered, especially those with young people.
  • Thorough knowledge of the current childcare legislation, CIW regulations, and National Minimum Standards for Children's Homes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for helping children and young people achieve their potential and ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rota as required.
